We are hiring a Bilingual Pesticide Compliance Investigator! The Washington State Department of Agriculture\'s (WSDA) Pesticide Compliance Program investigates all complaints of alleged pesticide misuse including human and animal exposure, pesticide drift, and plant damage. Pesticide compliance investigators respond to complaints related to possible misuse, improper storage, sales, distribution, and alleged pesticide licensing violations. Investigators conduct routine inspections of pesticide application businesses, marketplaces, distributors, importers, and manufacturers and monitor pesticide applications.
We are seeking to fill a Bilingual Pesticide Compliance Investigator position in the East Wenatchee area. This position will conduct high quality inspections and investigations relating to the manufacture, distribution, storage, and use of pesticides.
Note:This position is eligible for compressed work schedules, telework, and/or a hybrid schedule. This position will have regular daytime travel with occasional overnight travel for training.
In addition to the base salary, the incumbent will receive 5% assignment pay for bilingual duties.
Position and Salary Information
WSDA is recruiting for a full-time Bilingual Pesticide Compliance Investigator position within the Pesticide Compliance Program. This position is located in East Wenatchee , Washington, and is non-represented.
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate\'s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The typical starting salary range for this position is: $48,156 Step A - $ 63,216 Step L annually.
In addition to the salary listed above, incumbents assigned to our Seattle office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend. If a position is designated as requiring dual language skills, incumbents will also receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.
