Group Leader- Before School

Whittier City School District school sites:

Part Time Position

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 8:00am

Rate: $18.25/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to lead engaging activities, provide academic support, and create a safe and positive learning environment for students.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and lead educational and enrichment activities, including projects, arts, and recreational activities. Supervise student to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Encourage student participation and engagement in program activities. Maintain attendance records. Implement program rules and behavior expectations. Assist with program setup, cleanup, and material organization. Collaborate with other staff to create a dynamic and supportive afterschool program.

Qualifications:

Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting. 48 college credits/AA or equivalency test Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage a group of student and create a positive learning environment. Passion for education and youth development. * Background in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring is a plus.
