About Us

Laymoon Cafe is a new, community-focused Middle Eastern specialty coffee shop opening on December 20th near Arizona State University. We are building a team of baristas who bring professionalism, initiative, and a strong sense of customer service. This is an opportunity to be part of the founding team and help shape the culture, standards, and experience of our cafe from day one.

Training & Start Date

Mandatory training week: December 13-19 Official opening date: December 20
Applicants must be available for training the week prior to opening.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who naturally go above and beyond, take initiative, and are eager to learn. Someone who makes a positive impression, delivers consistent service, and works well in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Ideal candidates are:

Learnable, adaptable, and open to feedback Proactive and willing to take initiative without constant direction Professional and able to create a positive first impression with customers Reliable, punctual, and responsible in both attitude and performance Comfortable working with a diverse customer base, including students and professionals Experience with POS systems (preferred) Experience in a cafe or barista role (preferred but not required) Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-foot-traffic environment (no drive-through)
Responsibilities

Prepare espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with consistency Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional customer service Operate POS system accurately and handle cash or card transactions Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and workstations Learn and execute house recipes and preparation standards Assist with stocking, inventory, and cafe presentation as needed Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
