Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair. Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Operate POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Manage food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for change. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including counters, equipment, seating areas, and food prep zones. Assist in food preparation tasks when needed to ensure timely service during busy periods. Manage time effectively during shifts to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Engage with customers to promote sales of featured beverages or food items and enhance their overall experience.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and retail math calculations. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or cleaning equipment.
