Job Summary:

High volume commercial bakery is seeking a Full-Time team-oriented candidate for a Bakery Assistant position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays/nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Essential Functions:

Finishing: Decorate and assemble baked goods, and prepare them for display & sale Inventory: Help with inventory management and keeping bread shelves and viennoiserie display case stocked for retail sale. Operate baking equipment: Prepare pans and molds, set oven temperatures and monitor the baking process. Retard Dough: Manage and monitor doughs during cold fermentation in a refrigerator to control proofing and develop flavor and texture. Workstation maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized and sanitary. This includes cleaning equipment and performing general upkeep during work shift. Cleaning: Dishes, work and storage surfaces, ingredient bins, ovens and floors. Receiving: unloading and inspecting deliveries from production commissary Maintaining organization of product in freezer and fridge Working knowledge of knives and other sharp objects. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and hygienic work are adhering strictly to all food safety standards. Responsibilities and duties as assigned by the General Manager and or Kitchen Manager.

Education and Experience:

Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
