We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Back of House Director to lead our Chick-fil-A team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for great food, food safety, strong leadership skills, and a dedication to upholding the Chick-fil-A standards of excellence. As the Back of House Director, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of the back of house, including team management, food safety, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards.


Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the back of house team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Lead by example through demonstrating and upholding Chick-fil-A values at all times. Team Management: Assist in developing team members to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Develop a plan and strategy for the kitchen to be good stewards of our time, money, and equipment. Provide direction, coaching, and accountability for all the work performed by your team Conduct job interviews for kitchen team member candidates Conduct regular Leadership Meetings with BoH Team Leaders Ensure proper teams, initiatives, and systems are in place to produce fast and consistent food and service quality, food and Restaurant safety, kitchen cleanliness, and overall security Ensure all members of your group are properly trained and are executing the Quality Requirements, recipes, and procedures Coordinate with Team Leaders to ensure covering all shift gaps and call-outs, maintaining ultimate responsibility to ensure the kitchen is properly staffed Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations including shift management, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and Chick-fil-A brand guidelines. Ensure all Back of House operations including daily tasks, team member development, and the growth in their position and roles; ensure daily checklists are completed and those responsible are held accountable if not completed fully or regularly. Twice-a-day SAFE Daily Criticals and quarterly EcoSure visits Daily eRQA & quarterly QIV visits Other safety walkthroughs Own all Food Safety initiatives in our business by reviewing and taking action on findings from Safe Daily Criticals, SAFE evaluations, and Health Department inspections. Additionally, hold other team leaders accountable for executing our Food Safety requirements Customer Service: Maintain Chick-fil-A's reputation for exceptional customer service. Resolve customer complaints and ensure guest satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and Chick-fil-A brand guidelines. Uphold cleanliness standards in all areas of the restaurant and ensure equipment is in good working order. Ensure we are operating a food safe business at all times by meeting all of our food safety standards; lead our Team towards consistent Elite Food Safety status Collaboration: Collaborate with Team Leaders and Directors to achieve overall restaurant goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with back of house team members to ensure seamless coordination of front and back of house operations. Ensure Marketing initiatives, activities, and procedures for new products are properly communicated and executed within your group Financial Management: Drive profitability by managing costs, maximizing sales opportunities, and achieving financial targets. Monitor key performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity. Oversee labor cost control measures, including scheduling and body charts; collaborate with other Directors as necessary to be effective Monitor monthly food cost and implement control systems to meet Restaurant goals Ensure all profit control measures are being properly implemented throughout your entire group Do not allow overtime or allow Team Members to work beyond their scheduled hours without just cause or prior approval Community Engagement: Actively participate in community events and initiatives to promote Chick-fil-A's brand and values. Build relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance brand awareness and support community outreach efforts. Plan "anomaly" events, like large catering days, and communicate to all parties involved to ensure smooth execution Business Areas of Responsibility: Food Safety, Hot Food Production, Cold Food Production, Catering Food Production, Raw Chicken Processing A faith background is welcomed as a strength- our team values servant leadership, humility, and purpose in our work

Requirements



1+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a quick-service or fast-casual environment Proven leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated commitment to upholding high standards of quality, food safety, and cleanliness Proficiency in restaurant management systems Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 / hour
