: Role Summary/Purpose: This role will assist Fair Lending management with providing functional fair lending oversight to the Credit and Collections Teams as well as serving as back up for internal processes including documentation updates and maintenance, fair lending risk assessments, legal requirement reviews and alignments, and fair lending process enhancements. We\xe2\x80\x99re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training, and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with VP, Fair Lending Compliance Leader to ensure adherence to all applicable fair lending laws and regulations
  • Analyze fair lending risks inherent in Credit and Collections processes
  • Evaluate controls related to fair lending, under the direction of VP, Fair Lending Compliance Leader, and calculate residual risk scores
  • Help manage assigned Critical to Compliance (CTC) requirements by:
    • Having eGRC and CTC knowledge
    • Ensure proper alignment to business processes
    • Facilitate change management as applicable
    • Set the inherent risk rating (IRR) for new CTCs as applicable
    • Review process risk controls that are in place and documented by the 1st line of defense to ensure correct alignment to CTC risks and controls
  • Assist VP, Fair Lending Compliance Leader with Tollgate reviews
  • Assist with fair lending risk assessments and targeted reviews
  • Assist with day-to-day oversight activities, including review and credible challenge of fair lending-related policies, procedures, job aids, and control activities
  • Foster effective relationships with all functional areas of the business this role supports
  • Drive effective identification and management of fair lending risks, provide solutions, and assist with resolution
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of risk management or compliance experience in financial services or in lieu of the Bachelors, a minimum of 5+ years of risk or compliance experience
  • Ability to interpret and apply various fair lending laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of policies, procedures and operations related to fair lending
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access)

Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. Some positions are bonus eligible. Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months\xe2\x80\x99 time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don\xe2\x80\x99t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
