Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers about their vehicle needs. This role is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing exceptional service and support throughout the vehicle maintenance process.

Duties

Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs, providing expert advice on repairs and maintenance options. Utilize strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and ensure a positive experience. Prepare accurate estimates for services, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, tire service, alignment, suspension, and more. Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs. Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Stay updated on automotive technologies and repair techniques to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Experience

Previous dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong background in auto service management or as a service technician is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes. Experience in sales or upselling automotive services is a plus. Knowledge of auto estimating practices and service writing is beneficial. Proficiency in handling various types of repairs including diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair is advantageous. A solid understanding of cash handling procedures is required.
