Job Summary


We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless service experience. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell services effectively. The Service Advisor will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians to deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly and professionally Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating software Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs Manage service writing documentation accurately for each vehicle serviced Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle status and explain repair procedures in understandable terms Process transactions including cash handling and payment processing Maintain detailed records of all services performed and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all interactions

Experience



Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures such as oil changes, brake repair, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, and auto body repair Experience working with service technicians and understanding automotive repair workflows Proven ability in upselling services while maintaining excellent customer service standards Familiarity with auto estimating tools and service writing software is advantageous Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Background in automobile sales or auto service management is a plus Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive diagnostics enhances effectiveness in this role
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 - 45 per week
