Responsibilities Include:

Diagnose, maintain and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking and air conditioning in a timely manner. Perform repair work efficiently and accurately Road test vehicles when required Perform inspections of vehicle repairs Ensure required documents are complete and accurate Maintain industry knowledge Ensure workplace and tools are kept clean, safe and stored properly

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience as an automotive technician ASE Certifications and State of Hawaii vehicle safety inspection license a plus Diagnostic ability Troubleshooting skills Commitment to quality Positive attitude Good communication skills Personal set of tools Valid drivers license

Pay: Flat rate starting at $32.00 an hour with possible incentives

Required skills and abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Valid drivers license with clean driving record. ASE certifications preferred.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
