The Weatherization Auditor performs energy audits utilizing program software to determine cost-effective weatherization measures and repairs necessary to improve the efficiency of income eligible program recipients. Weatherization Auditors will attain required training through hands-on experience, class courses, and training conferences.

Associate's Degree in related field, or certification from a Technical School
Prior work, military, or on the job experience in weatherization is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver Qualification Status required for this position. Valid driver license with acceptable driving record for the previous 3 years.
Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to
Candidate must pass pre-employment physical
Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings.
New Hires must have or obtain certifications necessary to perform energy audits in the State of Oregon within 90 days of
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Candidate with Building Performance Institute certifications preferred but not required.
General knowledge of construction codes, tools, materials and
Ability to read, analyze and articulate technical procedures and governmental
Proficiencies in measurements, math, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC
Experience and ability to operate a variety of equipment and testing devices including combustion analyzers, blower doors, duct blasters, and other power and hand tools.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, database software and online
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written
Ability to work on various tasks simultaneously, as a positive reliable and contributing team member
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Performs field audits of clients' homes to identify proposed energy conservation measures and potential scope of work.
Inform clients of the potential benefits from weatherization through in-person conversation and educational materials from Agency and governmental sources.
Determines energy conservation measures for each client and calculates cost effectiveness using approved building model
Writes complete and succinct instructions for contractors and technicians to complete scope of work for each weatherization project.
Occasionally installs weatherization materials as needed by the program.
Interprets and applies program rules, regulations, and specifications in order to remain compliant with internal and external stakeholders.
Works cooperatively with other team members, contractors, and clients to complete jobs in a timely manner.
Complies with MWVCAA policies designed to ensure safety for Agency employees, contractors, and clients.
Attends ongoing trainings/classes to obtain and maintain certifications, including on-the-job
Maintains organized and accurate documentation for completed and in-process jobs.
