Job Description


Position Purpose

The Associate Trade Marketing Manager - On Premise and Fine Wine works in collaboration with the Trade and Customer Marketing, Brand and Marketing Services teams as well as cross functionally with the National Sales Teams, to proactively assist in managing and developing plans and tools, with a prioritized emphasis on the On Premise and Fine Wine channels, to generate demand in order to achieve annual performance plan. The Associate Trade Marketing Manager solely supports the National Accounts On Premise (NAOP) Team and works across channels and the portfolio in order to assist in streamlining systems, processes, and communications for the overall Trade Marketing Team. This role coordinates between National Sales, Trade, Brand and Marketing Services Teams within Delicato and maintain a two-way collaborative dialogue that emphasizes teamwork and getting results. This position has the potential to be a remote role.

Essential Duties

  • Develops high level trade marketing programs prioritized for the NAOP and Fine Wine Sales Teams that are in alignment with Company goals and objectives; communicates clearly defined objectives to key sales and distributors stakeholders
  • Provides prompt follow up on incoming requests to foster a cohesive, professional and collaborative relationship with Brand, Digital, PR and Trade and Shopper Marketing, Marketing Services and Sales Teams
  • Responsible for program design, set-up and procurement for various Trade and Shopper Marketing programs and tactics including but not limited to consumer offers, tie in partners, Neptune, consumer text-to-win, and Vestcom
  • Ideates programming promotions / RFPs for top on-premise accounts in order to support and drive potential sales
  • Utilizes National Brand Presentations as briefs for each Core and Emerging Brands that require On Premise and regional customization
  • Participates in and provides relevant presentation materials for Sales Team for key distributor meetings, joint sales calls and RFPs
  • Engages and manages outside marketing and production agencies to create winning Trade and Shopper Marketing programs and tactics
  • Maintains constant communication with internal sales team providing project updates and monitoring effectiveness of promotional marketing programs
  • Assists Trade Marketing Managers (TMMs) in development of key customer programs with top retailers to help develop customized solutions in order to grow the business
  • Collaborates with internal Marketing Services team, as well as the Creative Service team, in order to produce Trade Marketing elements and manage projects
  • Collaborates with Consumer Shopper Insights Team to incorporate key fact-based insights in sell sheets, RFPs, decks and communication pieces, to deliver against account and brand objectives
  • Compiles updates including TM Project Tracker, meeting agendas, TM Marketing Program Deck and other trackers as needed
  • Responsible for collection and facilitation of topics for the monthly Sales, Trade and Customer Marketing Sales Calls; ensures timely publication of agenda items to key stakeholders, and presentation of material to sales team.
  • Monitors and tracks adherence to spend within project budgets as set by Sales team, Brand, Customer Marketing and/or Trade budgets
  • Assists in management and tracking of sponsorships and events to ensure delivery of contract elements, completion of programs and program tracking.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of key customers programs within top on premise partners and accounts
  • Works with Trade Practices Compliance Team to design and build compliant programs
  • Assists with Trade Marketing Annual Strategic Planning process, tools and Channel plans
  • Participates in seasonal Channel surveys

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Marketing, Business or related degree; M.B.A. a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in marketing and/or sales
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skillset with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience utilizing data from IRI and other sources
  • Strong budget management, project management, analysis and reporting skills
  • Must possess working knowledge of wine and the wine industry

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $81,543.12 to $127,512.00.

Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate\'s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
