Job Title: Associate Scientist II

:

• Seeking an individual who has strong wet lab skills to contribute in a formulation and process development lab.
• Independently generate reproducible data in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills in the pharmaceutical formulation and process development space.
• Major Responsibilities:

• Bench skills (mixing formulations, pipetting, physical characterization of samples)
• Electronic lab notebook usage and experiment documentation including strong organizational skills, Independent problem solving, experiment design, and technical trouble shooting skills
• Ability to pickup new bench techniques quickly - working with emulsion systems and organic solvents, write protocols and reports and present results to a cross-functional team
• Must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills and be a team player.
• Must possess a BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with at least two years of relevant experience. Shall be able to multitask and plan work to meet project deadlines.
• Perform routine tasks competently and independently, and generate reliable and consistent results.
• Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations.
• Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
• Learn and understand new experimental techniques.
• Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences.
• Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field. Impact projects predominantly through lab activities.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct and safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences. 2 years experience via internships or other full time positions.
