Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us Position Title: Associate Director, Drug Development Finance Department: R&D Finance Reports To: Senior Director, DD Finance JOB SUMMARY: Key financial position in the R&D Finance organization with strong business partnering to support the Global Regulatory Strategy (GRS) and Worldwide Patient Safety (WWPS) divisions of Drug Development. This position will support GRS and WWPS in all operational aspects, analysis, contract management and tracking, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), as well as, headcount management. The role includes managing financial processes (e.g., Budget, Projection, Monthly Close Reporting and Control remediation) and collaborating with the GRS and WWPS leadership teams to support integration activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage Financial Reporting & Analysis processes Perform monthly close process activities for GRS and WWPS to ensure financials are reported in accordance with US GAAP Thorough financial analytics and business operations understanding to explain R&D leadership and develop recommendations to improve performance Manage contract reviews Ensure issues are identified and resolved timely in partnership with business operations and divisional leaders Partner with Procurement to develop and manage third party agreements with strategic vendors Partner with HR on headcount planning, reporting, and restructuring activities. Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal control requirements and support audit remediation Manage projection and budget processes Develop detailed operating budgets and projections to guide resource planning and allocation as needed throughout GRS and WWPS Support on-going integration activities Provide business and financial support and guidance to the divisional leaders, as needed Lead Financial Tracking and Analysis for Strategic Initiatives Maintain detail tracker for Quantum Leap and sustainability initiatives and provide quarterly updates to both divisional and R&D leadership Partner with RDSP business capabilities and GRS/WWPS business leaders to redefine DD resourcing models to better understand resourcing requirements as the R&D portfolio evolves QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Degree - BS/BA or equivalent, MBA preferred Language \xe2\x80\x93 English required PRIOR EXPERIENCE Minimum 7-10 Years of financial experience of increasing responsibility in relevant financial roles, including auditing, consulting, financial planning & analysis. R&D related financial experience preferred. Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a highly matrixed organization. Strong analytical, quantitative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload. Experience working with multiple levels of management with competing demands on time and resources. Strong character and ethics; attention to detail and ability to self-prioritize work on an ongoing basis. TECHNICAL SKILLS Oral/Written \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to present concisely and descriptively in both oral and written format to all levels of management. Computer Skills - Excel/Word/PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of Hyperion/SAP/SAP BI/BEX preferred. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Process/Time Management Organized.
