Join our Oncology team, which is leading the rapid business growth of our enterprise and ever-evolving industry! The Global Analytics & Insights mission is to improve the quality of the decisions made for our assets and across our Disease Areas through the provision of excellent market, customer and competitor analytics. This role will focus on our emerging portfolio and will lead a program of insight and analysis in support of multiple PH3 investment decisions.
This position is based on-site in Gaithersburg, MD, headquarters for our Oncology business. Responsibilities: Runs the integration of insight and analysis from a variety of sources to guide material decisions through the delivery of robust opportunity focused forecasts. Consolidates data and information into practical brand opportunities. Specifically:
  • Develops and delivers asset/indication forecast and related assumptions based on internal processes triangulating with the most robust data possible to increase confidence.
  • Ensures that forecasts are (i) presented clearly and consistently in line with GA&I standards (ii) underpinned with an AZ proprietary view of the most significant assumptions, based on robust secondary data analytics plus AZ proprietary data sources and intelligence.
  • Leads, negotiates and interacts with internal partners to validate forecast assumptions and market understanding.
  • Works closely with the CI Director and Agency analyst, generates competitive analysis for investment decisions, ensuring implications are reflected in the forecast and landed in the asset team.
  • Ensures that interpretation of primary market research is generating relevant practical differentiating insights; through a closeness to the GPT and a strong understanding of the therapy area which allows translation of insight gaps into accurate questions and a technical expertise in research design and interpretation to generate relevant answers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or above in a science or mathematics field
  • Experience in a similar pharma analytical or RWE role within the industry or consulting
  • Primary market research experience
  • Ability to use data and analysis to affect, influence or change the understanding of a market or customer
  • Current or previous oncology experience is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Scientific or mathematical field
  • Consulting, advisory or investment firm experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working with a pharma product close to launch or post-launch
