Position Summary:

Associate Director, Commercial Analytics & Insights develops and delivers business insights for the Neuroimmunology BU, will be responsible for providing critical insights and strategic recommendations to support both the successful launch of a new drug indication and Horizon\'s launched Neuroimmunology product, UPLIZNA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical business analytics, exceptional analytical skills, familiarity with patient claims data, and the ability to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Build analytics solutions that answer the most critical questions to help inform the strategy of the Neuroimmunology BU and drive operational focus and efficiency
  • Develop and execute the business analytics strategy and roadmap, aligned with the goals and objectives of the new drug indication launch
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, medical affairs, and market access, to understand their analytical needs and provide actionable insights
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, patient demographics, and other relevant data to identify market opportunities and inform strategic decision-making
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and data modeling techniques to analyze complex data sets and generate meaningful insights.
  • Collaborate with data vendors and external partners to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data visualization tools to effectively communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the progress of the new drug indication launch, providing regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in pharmaceutical business analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies related to data privacy and security.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS required
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, data analysis, strategy consulting or other quantitative fields
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations, supported by sound and thorough analytics
  • Highly proficient analytical and software skills aimed at data analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and data platforms (such as Microsoft SQL Server), statistical modeling packages (such as Python, SAS, and/or, R) and office productivity software (Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI/Tableau) preferred but not required
  • Proficient in the use and interpretation of pharmaceutical data including Rx, physician and claims level data sets
  • Strong ability to effectively analyze/interpret market research data to identify risks to the company
  • High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
