Palm Beach Career School is seeking an experienced and dynamic part-time Nursing Program Director and/or Instructor to lead and oversee the academic and administrative operations of our nursing education programs, including the Practical Nursing (LPN), Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN/RN), and other allied health programs. The Program Director will ensure the program's compliance with all state and national accreditation standards, foster academic excellence, and provide leadership to faculty and students in a supportive, student-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all nursing programs.
Ensure compliance with the Florida Board of Nursing, CIE, and other regulatory agencies.
Develop, implement, and evaluate program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Prepare and maintain accreditation documentation, program reviews, and annual reports.
Collaborate with the school administration on budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Develop and/or deliver comprehensive nursing curricula that align with educational standards and industry best practices.
Academic Oversight
Supervise curriculum development, course delivery, and program evaluation to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Monitor student performance and progression, ensuring that learning outcomes and NCLEX pass rates meet benchmarks.
Oversee faculty recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and evaluation.
Ensure quality instruction, fair assessment, and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
Student Success & Support
Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement, integrity, and professional growth.
Meet regularly with students to address academic or clinical concerns and support student retention and completion initiatives.
Collaborate with admissions and student services to enhance recruitment, orientation, and advising processes.
Clinical Partnerships
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities to secure clinical sites for students.
Ensure clinical placements meet educational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and national nursing education regulations.
Prepare and submit reports to accrediting and licensing bodies as required.
Ensure all faculty and program documentation is current and compliant.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
Active, unencumbered
Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the State of Florida.
Minimum of 2
years
of nursing experience, with
at least 1 year
in a nursing education leadership or supervisory role.
Preferred:
Doctorate in Nursing or Education (DNP, EdD, or PhD).
Experience with Florida Board of Nursing and CIE program approval/accreditation processes.
