About the Role
We're seeking an
Associate Curriculum Developer
to join our growing content team. This role supports our Curriculum Designers in developing, reviewing, and refining instructional materials for
Math
for Grades 2-6.
The ideal candidate has classroom experience and a strong understanding of what great teaching looks like. You'll bring your educator's eye for clarity, pacing, and engagement to help shape lessons that teachers love and students connect with.
Key Responsibilities
Support Curriculum Design:
Collaborate with Curriculum Designers to develop and revise lessons, activities, and assessments aligned to standards.
Write and Edit Instructional Materials:
Draft student-facing content, teacher guidance, lesson introductions, and extension ideas for math.
Ensure Standards Alignment:
Research and interpret standards to confirm that lesson objectives, activities, and assessments are instructionally sound.
Enhance Clarity and Engagement:
Review lessons for accuracy, readability, and instructional flow, offering thoughtful feedback and improvement suggestions.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Partner with editors, designers, and content leads to ensure consistency in tone, structure, and instructional approach.
Maintain Quality Control:
Perform light copyediting and ensure all content adheres to Clear K12's internal style and pedagogy guidelines.
Qualifications
Former classroom teacher or instructional coach
with experience in
Grades K-6
.
Strong knowledge of
instructional best practices
, student engagement, and differentiation.
Familiarity with 2nd - 6th grade
Math
Excellent written communication and editing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy, organization, and instructional quality.
Preferred Experience
Experience developing or adapting standards-aligned curriculum or assessments.
Knowledge of
TEKS
and/or
Common Core
standards.
Familiarity with educational technology and digital instructional design.
Prior experience supporting curriculum or publishing teams is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
$60,000 - $65,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
