The

Associate Accountant

will help support the consolidation and corporate accounting function for Valvoline Global. This role serves a key function in ensuring intercompany transactions are recorded properly for sales to affiliates, support recording and reporting requirements for equity method investments (joint ventures) and support the consolidation of global affiliates.

How You Will Make An Impact

Monthly recording of joint venture equity and royalty income and review of joint venture financial statements Monthly review intercompany sales to affiliates Consolidation of global affiliate balance sheet and income statement Oversight of off system affiliate consolidation in VGO's ERP Report generation for VGO's monthly and quarterly financial statements Review of corporate and commercial SG&A transactions Prepare and maintain general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial transactions globally Be a key player for ad hoc reporting needs for the global finance function Cross functional collaboration with commercial finance, regional sales teams, and various corporate functions to ensure accurate financial data flow Working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, & applicable regulatory framework Internal control performance & ownership Continuous improvement mindset - eye toward process improvement as we navigate a highly transformative time for VGO Serve as a trusted resource by bringing curiosity, attention to detail, and a data focus to the corporate accounting team

What You'll Need

Bachelor's Degree 2+ years in a Corporate Accounting role or Public Accounting role preferred Strong Communication Skills Strong Desire to Grow Career Humble/Hungry/Smart Process Improvement Strong Microsoft Excel and Other Technology Skills Problem Solving & Analysis Skills
