The Office of Academic Affairs at Idaho State University invites applications for either an Assistant or Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, depending on education and experience. This is a one-year promotional opportunity for current Idaho State University Faculty and staff to begin July 28, 2023 and is renewable based on performance and unit needs.

  • Oversee Academic Success and Advancement Programs (35%)
  • Oversee Articulation, Memoranda of Understanding, and Dual Enrollment agreements (5%)
  • Liaison with ISU institutional lead for the Online Idaho initiative (5%)
  • Represent Academic Affairs on Senate Councils, including the Academic Integrity Council, Academic Standards Council, and others as needed (5%)
  • Lead Project Charters as necessary (5%)
  • Support the Vice Provosts in the management of program health, program assessment and regional and specialized accreditation (20%)
  • Assist Provost and Vice Provosts in working with the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences and the Deans of the University colleges to strengthen, develop, market, and/or implement new undergraduate and graduate programs for the University\'s central and outreach campuses. (20%)
  • Assist Provost and Vice Provosts in executing AA priorities (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

This is a promotional opportunity for current Idaho State University faculty and staff only.

Assistant Vice Provost
  • Master\'s degree
  • At least three years of experience in higher education administration
  • Demonstrated commitment to working according to a shared governance model
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering trust, compassion, stability, and hope for all stakeholders in a diverse workplace
Associate Vice Provost

Must meet all of the minimum criteria for the Assistant Vice Provost PLUS
  • Doctoral degree
  • Two additional years of experience in higher education administration
  • Experience in program assessment and/or accreditation
  • Experience in Student Success programs
Additional Information

Salary will be between $80,000 and $100,000 per year for the Assistant Vice Provost, and between $100,000 and $120,000 per year for the Associate Vice Provost opportunity; commensurate with education and experience.
