Why This Role Matters
You'll support high?impact utility and excavation projects, combining estimation, technical insight, and coordination in a fast?moving environment. You'll work closely with seasoned professionals; learning, executing, and contributing to successful project delivery from day one.
What You'll Do
Conduct construction document reviews, accurate take-offs, and cost analyses.
Coordinate bid processes and assist with awarded project planning.
Collaborate with the Project Manager on material procurement and vendor scheduling.
Serve as a critical link between field foremen and office teams; keeping communication seamless.
Manage technical documentation, RFI tracking, and cost forecasts.
Adapt on the fly to shifting scopes and project demands, bringing mobility and proactive thinking.
What We're Looking For
Strong technical aptitude with construction documents and cost estimating.
Organized and able to work independently but team?oriented in coordinating with field and office.
Comfortable juggling shifting priorities and multiple project details.
Bonus points for experience in excavation/utilities or project control tools.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in estimating or project engineering within underground utilities, excavation, or heavy civil/site?work construction required.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, B2W, HeavyBid), Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam
Strong math, technical reading, and spatial reasoning abilities
Knowledge of local construction codes, materials, and market pricing
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
