Position Summary

The Assistant Production Manager supports the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations within the manufacturing facility. This role is primarily responsible for managing shop-floor employees, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving efficiency in all manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Management: Supervise and coordinate activities of production staff; monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies; provide training, coaching, and feedback.

Production Oversight: Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved; monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet changing priorities; collaborate with the Production Manager to implement process improvements.

Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment; ensure products meet quality standards and resolve issues promptly.

Reporting & Communication: Track production metrics and report progress to management; communicate effectively with other departments

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.

Proven track record in the success of production practices and procedures

Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with supervisory experience.

Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities; excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
