St. Joan of Arc School in Aberdeen is seeking a dedicated energetic individual to serve as the Assistant Principal beginning in July 2023. This position includes working with the principal in the day-to-day operations of the school along with supervision and support of faculty and staff, as well as providing assistance to students and families. In collaboration with the pastor and principal the Assistant Principal works to maintain the Catholic identity of the school. Job Responsibilities:
- Assists the principal in defining the school\'s mission and communicating goals and expectations of the school program.
- Provides instructional leadership, in concert with the principal, for the implementation of the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Assists in coordinating and supervising the instructional program of the school in conjunction with the appropriate school and Archdiocese staff.
- Provides for changes in daily schedules and programs to meet the needs of individual students.
- Communicates effectively with students, staff, administrative and supervisory personnel, parents, and community.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of outstanding teaching and /or administrative experience at the appropriate level.
- Master\'s degree from an accredited institution in educational administration, supervision, curriculum development, or education. Possession of/or eligible for Maryland Administrator I Certificate Endorsement.
- A Catholic in good standing, fully able to model Christian values, adhering to the teachings of the church; to participate in the sacramental life of the Church; and to inspire a shared vision of the value of Catholic education across all constituencies and stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership experience at the school and/or school system level.
