Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, and managing staff effectively. The AGM will support the General Manager in achieving the hotel's financial and operational goals while maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage services.
Ensure that all departments are operating efficiently and in compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
Staff Supervision:
Assist in recruiting, training, and developing hotel staff to ensure high performance and adherence to brand standards.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Schedule and manage staffing levels to optimize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Financial Management:
Support the General Manager in budget preparation and financial planning.
Monitor and manage hotel expenses and revenue to achieve financial goals.
Assist in analyzing financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Guest Experience:
Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
Implement and monitor guest service initiatives to enhance overall guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Actively seek and respond to guest feedback to improve service and address any issues.
Sales and Marketing:
Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to drive bookings and increase revenue.
Support sales initiatives and maintain relationships with corporate clients and local businesses.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure the hotel complies with all health, safety, and legal regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to maintain standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
Implement and enforce emergency procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory position.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
