THE JOB:
Step into a dynamic leadership role as an Assistant Executive Steward, where you will guide the heart of our Food & Beverage operations--our Stewarding team. In this pivotal position, you will help oversee departmental functions, support team development, and ensure our kitchens, equipment, and back-of-house operations run seamlessly. With a focus on teamwork, communication, and operational excellence, you'll help create the foundation that allows our culinary and service teams to deliver unforgettable guest experiences every single day.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Manage daily stewarding operations to meet and exceed departmental goals
Support Human Resources responsibilities including hiring, training, performance feedback, recognition, and compliance
Assist with stewarding-related labor relations issues, including investigations and corrective actions
Oversee on-the-job training and development programs through stewarding managers
Implement Food & Beverage policies, procedures, training programs, work schedules, and operational standards
Coordinate purchasing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of outlet requisitions
Ensure team members are properly trained on stewarding procedures and equipment usage
Serve as a liaison with contract companies and maintain strong communication with outside vendors and the Health Department
Conduct walk-through inspections of kitchen and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Exhibits 2+ years of prior relevant experience in Stewarding within the hotel/casino industry
Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to support team development
Possesses supervisory experience and understands collective bargaining environments
Applies excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
