We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Deli Manager to help oversee our deli operations and ensure a high standard of food quality and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service management and a commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
Supervise and train deli staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety protocols.
Oversee daily operations of the deli, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock while minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies regarding food handling and safety.
Develop schedules for staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Collaborate with other departments to promote deli offerings and enhance overall customer experience.
Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Experience
Previous experience in food service management or a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling, production, and safety practices.
Proven ability to supervise and lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is an asset.
Familiarity with coffee preparation and hospitality principles is a plus.
