Job Description

Internship Responsibilities:

Create and manage content for web, digital, and social media campaigns associated with Hawaiian Telcom and supporting brands. Assist in developing content and supportive strategies for local small businesses in the state of Hawaii to support and advertise partner businesses. Reporting monthly metrics for Connect newsletter. Assist in Brand Team development as tasks arise. Assist with the coordination of event logistics. Assist with the creation and distribution of event materials, such as table signage and posters. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring that the event space is clean and organized. Assist with event marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and website updates. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement. Provide general administrative support to the brand activation team as needed.

What special projects will the intern be completing?:

The Assistant Content Manager will play an active role in helping create content for our user base including designs for web, digital, social media, and a new progressive web app. Content will be designed in the form of digital creative and produced videos to support local businesses throughout the state of Hawaii. The Assistant Content Manager will also play an active role in assisting the Brand Team to create content and strategize for the altafiber/Hawaiian Telcom brands.

Required Qualifications:

Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Creative thinker that can provide new ideas to the team. Collaborative and adaptive team player. Must be proficient with Instagram and Facebook. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications.

Open to college students, must be age 18+.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with video filming and editing, graphic design, Facebook Ads Manager, and HubSpot.

What development will this internship provide to the intern:

The internship will provide the opportunity to help transform a strategic marketing initiative for the company. It will provide the opportunity to work in a team setting while developing and refining decision making, creative thinking, communication, and written skills. The role will also provide the necessary structure and opportunities to working effectively in a cross-functional environment.

This is a paid, summer internship.
