About the Role:



We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Assistant Bookkeeper. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive reports. While also managing key bookkeeping tasks. You will be the go-to person for processing financial transactions and reconciling bank statements.

What You'll Do:



Reconcile Bank Statement and ensure accurate cash balance. Daily reconciliation of POs to invoices. Daily input of AP invoices to our Xero Accounting Software. Perform/learn month end closing procedures. File invoices, payments, deposit slips, etc. Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process Verify that transactions are recorded correctly Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements Process accounts payable and receivable Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain confidentiality of financial information Track assets Respecting, enabling, and maintaining the office's professional team culture. Resolving conflicts with others effectively. Tracking project costs

What You'll Need:



Associate's degree w/major in accounting or 1-2 years equivalent work experience with some college level courses in accounting. 1-2 years' experience using Quickbooks/Xero Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Proficient computer skills are a must - Excel, Word, etc. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet assigned deadlines. Desire to learn new tasks and help out wherever the work is needed. Interest in furthering accounting skills or on track for an AA or BS in Accounting Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and professional demeanor Must be able to pass background and drug test
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
