Today, EIS Wire and Cable Inc. operates a modern 125,000 sq. ft. facility based in Western Massachusetts and specializes in manufacturing a wide range of custom design and standard construction products-from single conductor hook-up wire to complex multi conductor composite cables. Duties include but not limited to: Setup, adjust, and operate multiple textile, Bungee, and Array weaving machines and textile braiding machines to produce cable type assemblies and other related duties as directed or by procedure. Responsibilities:
- Follow standard work instructions and perform all set-ups & operating procedures within the allotted time.
- Stack boxed assemblies on pallets
- Train in Lean methods and participate in team projects such as set-up reduction to help reduce through-put time and increase productivity
- May be required to evaluate work center issues with materials, machines, and workloads and report current status to supervisors.
- Use all test equipment accurately to perform quality checks.
- Complete paperwork and enter computer transactions.
- Sweep/clean work area at the end of the shift and follow all safety and housekeeping instructions and policies.
- Pass a color identification test.
- Able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to lift 50 lb. with assistance
- The job requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time
- Reliable attendance
- Position may have some required overtime
- Full-time - 40+ hours per week
- Monday to Friday (3rd shift starts on Sunday night at 11 pm)
