We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant to support our team in various administrative and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial principles and be proficient in using financial software. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and providing assistance to our accounting department.

Responsibilities

Assist with account reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial records. Perform data entry tasks, maintaining up-to-date information in our financial systems. Support the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and other financial reports. Utilize financial software, including SAGE, to manage transactions and records efficiently. Conduct credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of clients or vendors. Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounting department. Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions and reports.

Requirements

Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits and credits. Experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet management. Familiarity with financial software such as Sage Accounting is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
