Architecture Senior Advisor- Solution Architecture

Position Overview:

The job profile for this position is for an Architecture Senior Advisor which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role.

The Solution Architect is responsible for developing & driving IT solutions in support of business capabilities for the Evernorth Accountable Care organization for significant Technical Strategy & Architecture matters, often requiring coordination across multiple delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex architecture projects requiring specialized technical knowledge, as well as business acumen. The Solution Architect can draw well-thought-out conclusions on complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues and drive alignment across stakeholders; able to anticipate business challenges; develop and recommend solutions that meet business needs, project time and cost constraints. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as "the go-to person" for the most complex Architecture assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide solution architecture direction to address Evernorth Accountable Care portfolio and program epics by defining Solutions that consider enterprise architecture standards, principles, and strategic technical business direction
  • Create end-to-end Solutions that meet new and emerging business needs, while maximizing alignment with target states strategies
  • Work closely with cross-functional business teams in a consultative manner to drive new business and/or meet compliance requirements
  • Work in close collaboration with multiple IT delivery teams in a matrix environment to influence enhancements, design, and mutual understanding of business need
  • Provides technical expertise to teams and projects, developing capabilities via the use of new technology and products and maintaining a deep level of involvement with the development teams.
  • Responsible for building delivery team consensus, and monitoring and facilitating execution of such Solutions; ensure solutions fit within project schedules and costs, providing options when required
  • Support sizing efforts within the application domains assigned and provide leadership to organize and facilitate sizing efforts provided by the team, helping to insure end to end solutions meet the business need.
  • Align the teams to a common technological and architectural vision
  • Establish critical Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) at the Solution level
  • Work with portfolio stakeholders, particularly Enterprise Architecture and Cloud CoE, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of Enabler Epics
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning as needed, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and I&As
  • Maintains updated architecture vision and decisions on Confluence
  • Assists in creating and maintaining best practices, deliverables, and processes for the System Architecture team.
Required Experience / Qualifications:

This position requires a highly motivated and collaborative person with exceptional communication skills, proven experience working with diverse teams of technical architects, business users and IT areas on all phases of the software development life-cycle.
  • 7 years of progressively responsible experience or Masters with 4 years of experience in building and implementing model- guided, enterprise-level business solutions
  • Knowledge of AWS technology stack and solution patterns
  • Knowledge of Pega workflow orchestration
  • Experience in software development phases including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process based applications
  • Experience in a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Pega, AWS, Oracle
  • 7 years experience in Healthcare
