The Solution Analytics team is searching for an energetic and data driven Business Analytics Senior Advisor to bring business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills to the Digital and Analytics organization. The Senior Advisor will be responsible Stop Loss analytics which includes descriptive and prescriptive analytics. This role will partner closely with Stop Loss leadership, Contracting, Finance and Pricing business partners.

Responsibilities

Perform data collection, extraction, manipulation, aggregation and analytics on eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, financial data and other data sources as needed

Engage with stakeholders to assess business needs and understand how analytics affects the broader business, bridging the gap between data insights and business stakeholders with regular and clear communication

Understand business problems brought by stakeholders and how best to apply data analytics and problem-solving skills to develop appropriate solutions

Data Subject Matter Expertise (Stop Loss claims and financial data)

Generate Descriptive Stats and perform Ad hoc analytics (SQL and/or Python \xe2\x80\x93 all on the cloud)

Tableau dashboard creation

Partner with other analytic team and matrix partners, including: Affordability, Pricing and Product to conduct descriptive and advanced analytics that offer guidance to our enterprise strategy

Build domain knowledge to support your responsibilities and oversight

Provide written and verbal insights to stakeholders focusing on value added of recommended data driven insights

Provides counsel and recommendations to analytic and business leadership

Qualifications

5+ years relevant work experience in healthcare advanced analytics or data science

Experience performing descriptive and prescriptive analytics

Strong technical skills querying big data on AWS

Experience analyzing health insurance claims (Medical, Eligibility, etc.); Health Insurance coding experience preferred

Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities for impact, develop analytic solutions and leverage technology

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

Organized, self-motivated and comfortable with nimble learning in a dynamic environment

Pro-active learner, must have strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation

Proven ability to collaborate with others, establish working relationships, and communicate effectively within a large corporate matrix environment

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Finance, Actuarial Science, or Data Science. Advanced degree preferred

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 107,900 - 179,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
