Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Starting Pay:

$18.00 per hour



Position Overview:



We are seeking a

certified Adult Alcohol & Drug Peer Support Specialist

to support adult clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), many of whom also experience co-occurring mental health conditions. This role is critical in providing peer-driven, recovery-oriented support through lived experience, empathy, and teamwork.

Essential Qualifications:



Certified Peer Support Specialist

with a current and valid license.

Minimum 2 years of sustained recovery

from substance use. Personal

lived experience with addiction and recovery

.

Active involvement in recovery-based fellowships

(e.g., AA, NA, SMART Recovery, etc.). Own a

laptop computer

and be proficient with typing and using digital systems.

Strong documentation and note-taking skills

; must complete notes efficiently and accurately.

Punctual and reliable

; must be on time consistently. Ability to

multitask

and manage a diverse workload independently.

Willingness to learn and grow

within a team setting. Maintain

professional boundaries and ethics

in all client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide peer support services to adults struggling with SUD and co-occurring mental health issues. Share personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and support clients in their recovery journey. Assist clients in navigating recovery resources, treatment systems, and support groups. Maintain accurate and timely client notes and documentation. Collaborate closely with clinical staff, case managers, and other peer specialists. Model healthy coping strategies and life skills in real-world situations. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision. Uphold a recovery-first, non-judgmental, and respectful environment for all clients.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):



Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule & Availability:



Must be available

Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

. Occasional meetings or training sessions may occur outside of regular hours.

Compensation:



Starting pay is $18.00 per hour
