Your New Role

Do you prefer hands on type of work and have interest in the immerging US offshore wind industry? Survitec HeliPPE is now hiring a Service Technician for its US Offshore Wind HQ in North Kingstown, RI.

Our PPE rental business is operational and searching for someone to head up the onsite SOLAS service center. The candidate\'s main responsibility will be the service of our immersion suits, lifejackets, fall protection, and other PPE items to keep out equipment certified and ready for use by our customers.

Who is HeliPPE?

HeliPPE is a division of Survitec specializing in the short- and long-term lease of high-quality offshore specific PPE for helicopter and CTV transfer within the offshore wind industry. HeliPPE is headquartered in Denmark with other branches in the UK, Germany, US, and more to follow.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Life Jacket and PLB inspection/service
• Immersion suit inspection/service
• Fall Protection inspection/service
• Operate service station equipment (suit test table, sewing machine, seam sealer, drying cabinet, washing machine, etc) Training provided
• Create systems and procedures for smooth flow of equipment through service center
• Document and update certificates
• Support operations department with help fulfilling equipment orders
• Aid operations with equipment deliveries to vessel port areas and airport for aviation customers
• Loading and unloading PPE for incoming and outgoing orders

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

• Exposure to offshore wind, marine construction, helicopter industry a plus but not required
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Working hands on- This may be a great position for someone with experience working in a trade that wants to move to a clean, climate controlled environment
• Willingness to wear different hats and do what needs to be done to move the team toward a common goal
• Interpersonal skills- Being able to communicate effectively with coworkers and Survitec HeliPPE customers
