Each year, JCPRD records more than 7 million park visitors and over 2 million recreation participations in over 4,000 programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Johnson County Park and Recreation District is looking for an Applications Administrator II. The job performs a wide variety of moderately complex applications administrator responsibilities in support of an enterprise business applications. The position is located at the Shawnee Mission Park Administration building at 7900 Renner Road, Shawnee Mission, KS. 66219, and provides excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plan. Essential functions include:

  • Manages and monitors enterprise business applications application(s); completes assignments, which may include process automation or enhancements; ensures application availability while facilitating growth in usage and increased functionality; participates in all phases of a project development life cycle; sets up administrator accounts, user accounts, and service accounts; works with various vendors.

  • Responds to end-user questions, inquiries, and ad-hoc requests; works directly with end-users in evaluating solutions, fulfilling requests, and resolving issues; recommends solutions to ensure system availability; provides training assistance for users.

  • Ensures data is accurate, current, and complete through quality assurance procedures; develops new, and enhances existing, workflow through various techniques such as process automation; monitors application for compliance to IT standards and policies.

  • Monitors and helps ensure application availability and performance; analyzes and resolves problems; conducts tests and monitors activities; analyzes system capacity and modifies procedures to solve interface problems; collaborates with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful use of applications.

  • Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation related to system software use and support including processes; prioritizes regularly occurring issues and methods of resolution.

  • Participates in system design reviews and communicates with technical and non-technical audiences; regularly monitors event logs and error messages to analyze issues that may hamper application performance.

  • Performs asset management (ITAM) ensuring technology assets are accounted for, cataloged, maintained, and decommissioned.


Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Associate degree in the following fields(s) of study: Information Technology and two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience in the information technology field. Education can substitute for experience and experience may substitute for degree. Professional Experience: Working knowledge of O365, Microsoft Teams, MFA, Basic Active Directory Administration, laptops, desktops, tablets, asset management, patch management software, ITSM ticketing software, and project management. Desired Application Experience: Active Net, e-PACT, AssetCloud, Collector Systems, FuelMaster, and ITSM.

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (on-call, as needed)
