Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what\'s ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, and grow Ansys\' business. You will join a diverse team of global experts in a unique start-up like experience in support of the Ansys Discovery product. and use your advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact. In this dynamic customer-facing role, you will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading companies across the world to ensure business success in the upfront simulation market.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead in execution of all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, and evaluations

As a product expert in Ansys Discovery, interact with customers to understand their product design and digital transformation initiatives; analyze how to address customers\' requirements and articulate Ansys\' value proposition

Contribute to sales enablement and business development initiatives to drive significant impact to product revenue

Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product features

Partner with Ansys field and product marketing teams to create exciting new content to drive lead generation

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

Required education and degree type: MS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field

Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+3, or MS+0

Demonstrated use of Ansys software or knowledge of other CAE & CAD packages

Demonstrated background in mechancial and/or strcutural engineering concepts

Problem-solver, strong interpersonal skills, fluent in writing and speaking English

Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and executives

Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency

Demonstrates a strong business aptitude and understanding of business drivers

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0

In-depth knowledge and experience in the use of CAD and simulation as part of the design and upfront simulation process

Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
