Your Role:

As an API Staff Product Manager\\Owner at CSAA, you will play a key role in delivering APIs for external and internal partners to consume enabling mission-critical applications including sales, service and claims across digital and agency channels.

You will be responsible for driving the roadmap and product features we deliver for our diverse set of partners. You will need to use your technical expertise and deep experience in delivering features using Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, as a Product Manager\\Owner for this position.

To be successful you will have to balance priorities, collaborate with senior leaders, and present to cross functional teams while defining detailed functional requirements, within an agile framework, and managing key performance indicators.

This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, document decisions, and handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture.

Your work: (Essential responsibilities)

  • Specifying and leading all aspects of the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers (internal and external)
  • Author User stories, support team as a Product owner during scrum cadences like refinement, planning and daily standups.
  • Assessment of new Product and feature requests, while working cross functionally to create an actionable roadmap
  • Using market research to get ideas for products that customers will want integrate with
  • Driving growth by defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our APIs and first-party / third-party technology integrations
  • Ownership of the Strategic Product Roadmap Development that includes providing regular updates and communications to all involved parties
  • Define and measure the applicable objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance measures to support the API & Integrations strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Developing API Contracts for review with delivery teams
  • Working with and influencing cross-functional product teams to articulate and plan customer needs and product increment vision into actionable work effort execution and success
  • Drive user research and review product data to inform the ecosystem product strategy
What would make us excited about you?
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or Related work experience in API Development and Product Management.
  • Strong understanding of the API management and Integration domain.
  • 5 + years of experience in Product Management\\Ownership
  • 3+ years of technical product owner experience working in partnership with a delivery team using Scrum.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify which problems to solve through a logical/systematic approach and determine when to scale a solution
  • Demonstrates curiosity and empathy, and asks probing questions that help uncover customer needs.
  • In-depth experience with delivering REST APIs in a microservices\' ecosystem.
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Proven track record partnering with internal partners to define strategies and roadmaps, dependencies, and releases
  • Experience facilitating productive sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions with the delivery team
  • Experience defining and running Key Performance Indicators for the product area of responsibility
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA or equivalent to manage backlogs and document features
  • Excellent written documentation and executive presentation abilities.
  • Prior programming Experience or technical analyst working on APIs
  • Is familiar with and has written API Service Contracts
Technical skills
  • API Design - Design API to a customer experience
  • OpenAPI Design Specification
  • Databases, including SQL and NoSQL

Preferred qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification preferred

The national average salary range for this position is $121,050- 134,500. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $108,900-$193,900. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
