Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with various breeds and sizes of dogs, ensuring their well-being while promoting positive behaviors. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, this individual should enjoy keeping busy with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and enjoyment. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility by performing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing play areas. Monitor dog behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents. Administer basic care including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by pet owners or veterinarians. Provide exercise and enrichment activities to stimulate dogs mentally and physically. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise. Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of dog training techniques or pet care best practices is beneficial. Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both dogs and their owners. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
