Summary:

We\'re looking for a talented insights and analytics team member to join us and be at the forefront of developing future state analytics experiences that will empower our team members to drive sustainable top and bottom-line growth. You\'ll have the opportunity to shape the way our team members interact with data and insights and significantly impact both the employee and customer experiences across Foodservice and Retail Sales. The ideal candidate will have an innovative mindset, willing to challenge ideas, designs, direction, and approach.

This role will be responsible for working with our internal business partners to create reporting and analytics products that simplify the analytics landscape and lead to faster and more accurate decision making for our Tyson sales team members. We will move from descriptive data stored in worksheets across multiple locations to analytics products that deliver personalized diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights to Team Members from one source of truth. You will work with our business partners to develop reporting through prototyping, quick test & learn and other agile ways of working.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and equip the Commercial Sales organization with reporting and other analytics products that provide actionable insights to hundreds of Tyson employees, reducing our time to sale and ultimately driving sustainable growth
  • Leverage skills in Power BI or similar data-visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.) to build elegant, design-conscious, and compelling visualizations that help business leaders quickly identify actionable insights
  • Proactively cultivate a broad network of relationships with leaders across Commercial Sales and other functional areas (e.g., finance, supply chain, etc.) to inform prioritization, design, and delivery of analytics products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define business questions, elicit end-user requirements, create detailed documentation, collaborate with IT to build solutions, design testing scenarios, manage the User Acceptance Testing process, and facilitate rollout of new analytics products
  • Champion the needs of the end user while simultaneously educating and elevating the way that the Commercial Sales organization thinks about and uses data to make business decisions
  • Collaborate with IT as a member of an Agile POD to design, build, and deliver analytics products that meet the needs of business users
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to our internal partners through reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and professionalism
  • Demonstrative proactive and curious business thinking to uncover opportunities, drive increased efficiency, and develop solutions to difficult analytics problems
  • Empower the organization to achieve new levels of success by imagining what could be, exploring possibilities, challenging the status quo, and providing thought leadership around data and analytics topics
  • Grow into a subject matter expert regarding data and analytics, providing education and resources when questions arise, or help is needed
  • Relentlessly pursue understanding and assist others in gaining understanding through clear, simple, and concise communication
  • Assist training teams in the development of change management and training materials to drive adoption of data analytics product
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in data and analytics, finance, supply chain, or other business-related field
  • 1+ years in an insights-driven or business intelligence role
  • Passion for data and analytics with the belief that analytics done-well can radically re-shape the way businesses make decisions and drive future growth
  • Interest in storytelling and desire to learn how to craft and communicate stories that bring together both the \xe2\x80\x9cwhat\xe2\x80\x9d and the \xe2\x80\x9cwhy\xe2\x80\x9d to influence leadership and drive action
  • Naturally creative with artistic eye, strong imagination, and curiosity about the role these skills play in driving adoption and reducing time-to-insight within analytics and reporting
  • Curiosity about a broad variety of business topics and interest in learning to speak fluently about the needs and concerns of both business as well as technical data and analytics partners
  • Innate record keeping ability with a desire to become an expert in conducting analytics requirements gathering sessions and translating those requirements into formal documentation
  • Desire to develop a customer-service orientation with a foundation in the ability to execute against the core dimensions that drive service quality
  • Hunger to learn with instinctive curiosity and desire to doggedly pursue understanding by asking questions, listening, observing, experimenting, and researching
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with experience developing complex formulas, using pivot tables, cleansing, and transforming data within Power Query, and writing VBA code
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Proven ability working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries
  • Background working with large datasets and modeling relationships among numerous data elements
  • Prior experience working in an analytics or analytics transformation role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with desire and ability to collaborate with and support teammates as well as build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Detail-orientated with commitment to accuracy and the ability to understand how individual tasks or efforts connect to a bigger strategic picture
  • Independent worker adept at managing multiple and aggressive timelines and proactively pursuing and communicating about work projects
  • Strong professional presence, effective communication, presentation, influence, and problem-solving skills
