Your success in this role is measured by your ability to provide world class customer service to our recipients by analysis, strategy, resolution, and suggesting preventative measures for all payor escalated issues. You will have full surveillance responsibility on open AR to proactively identify inconsistencies in proper payment and take measures to mitigate collection risk in a changing payor environment. In addition, you will assist department management in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Reimbursement Department by effective assessment, documentation, communication, and resolution of all payor issues and provides support that enables Cochlear leadership to make business decisions that positively impact reimbursement metrics and results and facilitates financial growth of the company. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Market Access and Provider Relations teams to escalate payor issues, provide necessary details to resolve payor issues and provide input on administrative burden and/or operational insights helpful to contractual efforts. You will communicate with cross-functional operations partners in an effective feedback loop, provide subject matter expertise on insurance related issues and provide input to processes within the Billing & Collections Team. You will often present the story the data shows to upper leadership along with your progress and suggested strategic approaches for resolution. In this role you\'ll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear\'s successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge and experience of revenue cycle, leading by example, accountability of yourself, strategic thought, project management, process development and follow-through. Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance of open AR to identify trends, anomalies and develop strategies to resolve and mitigate collection risk
  • Identify, clarify, and resolve complex payor issues critical to the success of reimbursement
  • Support planning communication and management of payor issues through a disciplined process and accountability approach
  • Investigate payment issues; design & execute analytics for reimbursement collections effectiveness
  • Provide analytical, strategic thinking, and support to leadership that enables the team to isolate payor issues
  • Identify areas for improvement and training needs within the team. Responsible for providing feedback to cross-functional business partners when necessary


Key Requirements To add value to Cochlear in this role you\'ll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in your application and at interview:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
  • 3-4 Years of current healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience
  • Proven advanced Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular) and data analysis abilities
  • The ability to gather and share data while telling the story on how it relates to the business needs.
  • Full understanding of revenue cycle including prior authorization, claims processing, cash posting, payer contracting and healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and federal insurance regulations
  • Excellent writing, reporting and presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with a minimal amount of oversight
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Target Salary Range: $80,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $96,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary

Schedule This is a salaried position with business hours between 6:00am-6:00pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday with the need to adjust schedule to attend required meetings.
