We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Planning and Cost Analyst within our WW Strategic D&C Projects group based in Houston, TX.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Complete all duties with a high level of urgency and accuracy.

\xc2\xb7 Review published schedules and develop deadlines for PR development.

\xc2\xb7 Review historical vendor information to anticipate PR development needs.

\xc2\xb7 Review historical spend to ensure that PR\xe2\x80\x99s amounts are established correctly.

\xc2\xb7 Schedule and lead kick-off meetings with Engineering staff and others as needed to review PR development plans.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare preliminary and final PR Excel SAP uploader files.

\xc2\xb7 Resolve various items from vendors and internal staff including but not limited to: training coordination, technical issues, PR increases, Service Entry Sheet (SES) status, invoice payment status, payment expediting, etcetera.

\xc2\xb7 Continually develop and document overall processes.

\xc2\xb7 Identify means to de-bottleneck and expedite processes related to SAP lifecycle.

\xc2\xb7 Accountability for ensuring that internal and external stakeholder issues are fully resolved.

\xc2\xb7 Work with supply chain on PR\xe2\x80\x99s that need to be manually created due to contract issues. Ensure that these PR\xe2\x80\x99s are moved along and ultimately resolved from a supply chain perspective.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor PR aging report for PR\xe2\x80\x99s that need to be manually resolved.

\xc2\xb7 Review submissions and assume role of administrative approver in SAP. E.g. verify submissions have successfully passed lower level approval requirements and route as necessary for proper approvals.

\xc2\xb7 Disburse and coordinate the resolution of issues for critical Rockies vendors that support multiple business units.

\xc2\xb7 Develop strategic vendor list and monitor to ensure no issues arise and promptly resolve any issues that do come up.

\xc2\xb7 Create and monitor SES aging report to ensure that internal approvals are being executed timely.

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate Outline Agreements (OLA) to ensure that the proper OLA/contract is being utilized for each PR.

\xc2\xb7 Work with supply chain to ensure that contracts are coded correctly for proper cost collection.

\xc2\xb7 Work with other internal technical staff to ensure that SAP costs and OpenWells costs are in proper alignment.

\xc2\xb7 Develop other PR\xe2\x80\x99s as needed for contractors, cost centers, and other items that are not directly billable to wells.

\xc2\xb7 Additional duties may include: QC of daily field operation reports.

\xc2\xb7 Invoice approvals.

\xc2\xb7 Data queries from various databases (specifically OpenWells).

\xc2\xb7 Organizing data queries for analysis in Spotfire, Power BI, Excel and creating web players.

\xc2\xb7 Work with finance team to create, supplement, and resolve issues with Authorization for Expenditure (AFE).

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that vendors are properly entering the Oxy Field Rep in ARIBA so that items are properly routed for internal approvals. *DO-LI*

\xc2\xb7 Supporting engineers and managers by creating various KPI scorecards, compiling vendor performance data, and developing cost/performance tracking methods.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, accounting, science, or computer science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the energy industry
  • High proficiency with MS excel
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Programming and data analysis skills are strongly desired
  • Excellent economic and analytical skills
  • OpenWells and operational drilling knowledge are desired, not required.
  • Strong proficiency with SAP, SQL, Spotfire and Power BI
  • Strong organizational, written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet short deadlines
  • Good working relationship with engineering and operational teams
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn job skills outside of technologist duties
  • Must be a team player, self-starter and dependable
