Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests according to seating chart and restaurant policies
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information about the restaurant
- Manage waitlist during peak hours and ensure efficient seating of guests
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
Requirements:
- Previous experience in guest relations, food service, or hospitality preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar restaurant management software is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
