We have an exciting opportunity for an Alaskan Bushwheels Production Manager. This position requires supervision of a team of approximately 20 employees manufacturing the only small aircraft bushwheel-type tires in the world, all done by hand right here at our Palmer headquarters. For any business to thrive, it must have a competent Management Team of individuals who can plan, execute, and oversee all production and manufacturing activities effectively and efficiently. With Airframes Alaska, our Alaskan Bushwheels Production Manager can expect to undertake the following duties. Major Responsibilities
Manage a team of hourly employees in the Alaskan Bushwheels department
Coordinate employee work schedules and approve timecards
Conduct performance reviews and lead interviews
Attend regularly scheduled production management meetings
Facilitate employee training
Enforce safety policy and be accountable for employee safety
Utilize the company?s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to create production work orders and manage inventory
Prepare weekly production and inventory reports
Assist with preparing capital and operating budgets and track spending
Serve as the quality assurance manager for Alaskan Bushwheels
Troubleshoot and eliminate manufacturing problems as they arise
Assist with internal and external audits
Maintain and service production equipment and tools
Assist with the maintenance of shop equipment and facility infrastructure
Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must have at least two years of management experience leading a team of at least five people, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or construction field.
Must have excellent computer skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and be able to learn and frequently use the company?s ERP software.
Experience with mechanical equipment electrical maintenance, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, controls, instrumentation, power and electronics.
Extensive experience with common power tools and hand tools
Candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Palmer, Alaska headquarters
Must be able to read technical drawings
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or bachelor?s degree in a technical field
Machine and tooling design experience
Advanced experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems
Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts and construction heavy equipment
Facility maintenance and construction experience
Advanced experience with the maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and manufacturing systems.
Experience with the installation, modification and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
