Position available with the Aviation Department, Operations Division (Security section), 1 Kansas City Blvd., Kansas City International Airport. Department/Division: Aviation Department, Operations Division (Security section)
Salary Range: $24.77 - $37.16/ hourly
Work Location: 1 Kansas City Blvd., Kansas City International Airport
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. during training, then placed on shift based on operational needs.

Responsibilities





Performs regular security inspections of tenant facilities, Terminal, and airport grounds to ensure compliance with 49 CFR 1542 regulations, Airport Security Program and Airport Rules and Regulations. Files and maintains documentation of compliance inspections. Immediately initiates corrective actions for any instance of non-compliance with 49 CFR 1542 regulations and the Airport Security Program. Conducts comprehensive security assessments, audits, and security tests. Audits include inspections of 33 food establishments and 15 shops, Airfield Operations Area (AOA) security inspections, airport badging office procedures and compliance of 49 CFR 1542, Security Violation Program, and Airport Law Enforcement actions at TSA security checkpoints, to name a few. The position will perform security tests on SIDA badging access and Airport Access Control System. There will be security assessments, which include ensuring tenant compliance with airport security policies and Airport Security Program, review access systems, measures and procedures pertaining to the Secured Area, AOA, and SIDA. Assists the Airport Security Compliance Manager with drafting and responding to TSA letters of investigations, as well as coordinating and conducting security outreach training programs.

Qualifications





REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in public or business administration, airport management, engineering or a related field and 1 year of progressively responsible experience in airport operations/management activities at the level of Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must obtain a Missouri driver\xe2\x80\x99s license within 30 days of employment. Must successfully complete a 10-year FAA background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
