Summary:

Often referred to as the \xe2\x80\x9cVoice of the Customer\xe2\x80\x9d on agile projects or the \xe2\x80\x9cProduct Manager\xe2\x80\x9d on traditional projects, the Agile Product Owner is the person responsible for the product backlog including communicating the customer requirements (through user stories). The Agile Product Owner Advisor role is critical to the success of an agile product development effort. In addition to communicating requirements and other activities, the Agile Product Owner Advisor is responsible for defining user acceptance criteria for requirements, prioritizing and managing the product backlog, as well as collaborating with the development Team throughout the iterative development cycle.

Responsibilities:

Scope of Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes and translates business requirements into detailed User Stories and business rules
  • Aligned to scope that is complex or that may cross release trains
  • Responsible for development of the product backlog, ensuring the acceptance criteria meets the business priorities and desired outcomes
  • Prioritizes the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers
  • Serves as a SME for system development and/or enhancement projects for new or existing applications/processes aligned to the Provider Reimbursement Solutions - Reimbursement Pricing Orchestrations ART (This role will primarily support our MRC and GBS SANP and Optum applications)
  • Supports business readiness activities including business testing and Production Simulation to ensure the results meet the business needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher strongly preferred
  • 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a healthcare environment required
  • Prior medical claims pricing experience or working knowledge of claim systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable business rules and requirements
  • Must have strong business skills and experience, with in depth understanding of business functions and capabilities supported by the components of the claim pricing and reimbursement process
  • Past experience working with technology teams, or the ability and interest to learn how to work with technology teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Ability and experience working across different functional areas in a matrix environment
  • Ability to think critically with respect to improvement of end-to-end business process
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives, and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals.
  • Agile experience required
  • Flexibility to change course based on business needs; effectively manage and deal with change
  • 25% travel

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 88,400 - 147,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
