RK Hall- Sawyer- Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Sawyer, OK | Reports to: Sawyer Plant Foreman | Classification: Full-Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

This position requires an individual with working knowledge of an aggregate producing facility. Consists of but not limited to field engineering, welding, fabrication, general repairs and self-service of all plant equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The criteria for evaluation in this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Be familiar with and incorporate information derived from the manuals for the individual equipment being serviced.
• Must be familiar with and follow all MSHA safety practices and procedures.
• Conduct pre and post shift plant and equipment inspections.
• Work without direct supervision, in a self-motivated manner
• Operate light equipment such as skid steers and water trucks.
• Work from elevated positions using fall protection PPE.
• Be aware of the overall operational health of the plant and plan for necessary repairs, maintenance, and upkeep.
• Utilize tools, torches, and welding equipment.
• Demonstrate problem solving and field engineering.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Perform additional job duties as assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as well as all company policies
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must possess a valid driver\'s license.
