Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm (some weekend programming in Woodside, flexible shifts may be available)

About the Role


We're looking for enthusiastic and caring Group Leaders to join

our client, a social services agency

, for a temporary role during the

2025-2026 school year

. In this position, you'll play a key part in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children in grades K-8.As a Group Leader, you'll help guide students through hands-on activities in

Literacy, STEAM, Arts & Crafts, Fitness, Recreation, and Leadership development

. You'll be supported by a dedicated Program Director and Assistant Director, as well as a team of youth workers who share your passion for making a difference in young people's lives.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids, bringing creative ideas to life, and being part of a team that values community, growth, and learning.

What You'll Do



Lead and supervise a group of students to ensure their safety, engagement, and well-being. Support students with academic goals and help spark a love for learning. Create and deliver fun, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Prep materials in advance so activities run smoothly and students stay engaged. Pitch in with planning special events and projects. Keep the program space clean, organized, and welcoming. Meet regularly with supervisors and staff to share ideas and problem-solve together. Model positive behavior while ensuring health and safety protocols are followed. Take on additional duties as needed to support the program.

What We're Looking For



You're

18 years or older

with a High School Diploma or equivalent. You have experience working with children or leading youth groups. You're organized, dependable, and a strong communicator. You're creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to adapt to different activities and needs. You're able to commit to the

2025-2026 school year

(with the possibility of year-round opportunities based on performance) Willingness to complete required online and in-person training before starting. All candidates who are offered a role, must complete required security clearances,

including fingerprinting through the NYC DOE Personnel Eligibility Tracking System (PETS).

Ability to begin once clearances are complete.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
