Advancement CoordinatorBurke Mountain Academy is a highly specialized sports academy dedicated to supporting the aspirations of ski racers willing to work exceptionally hard to achieve their goals. For over 50 years, this little school on the side of a hill in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont has consistently developed some of the top ski racers in the country, thanks to the clarity of our purpose and our willingness to go to great lengths to help our students.TItle: Advancement CoordinatorDepartment: Advancement Reports to: Director of Advancement Location: Burke Mountain Academy, East Burke, VTBurke Mountain Academy is seeking a conscientious, detail-oriented, personable professional to work collaboratively with the Advancement Team to support the schools advancement operations and to promote enhanced engagement, participation, and giving among BMAs constituents.Specific duties and responsibilities include: Plan, coordinate, and attend 5(+/-) regional BMA receptions and/or networking events annually to promote alumnae/i and family engagement. Work closely with Dir. of Advancement to set event objectives and desired outcomesPartner with Marketing and Communications Manager to create event invitation and related communicationsOversee logistical details Conduct any appropriate post event follow-up (i.e.

Thank You communications, surveys, etc) Provide administrative support to Advancement volunteers, including coordination of meetings, preparing materials, and appropriate follow-upDevelop alumnae/i and parent communications plans as part of BMAs comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. Conduct research and partner with the Database Administrator to ensure accurate and current alumnae/i database records (contact & biographical information, career information, correspondence, engagement activity, etc.). Provide operational support to the schools Annual Fund campaign: Assist team in developing the Annual Fund planManage Annual Fund volunteers, including BMA Class Agents and Parent Volunteers Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to schedule and draft appeals, including mailings, E-communications, and social media posts. Organize and execute appeal mailingsReport fundraising progress to Dir.

of Advancement monthly or as requestedWork with Database Administrator to implement gift acknowledgement process for timely donor recognitionAssist Database Administrator to prepare donor records and donation information for publication in the year-end annual report and other school publications. Additional position considerations: Flexibility to attend evening and weekend eventsWillingness to travel periodically for BMA events and engagement activities Availability to support all school events, such as Parents Weekend, Graduation, and Reunion. This position currently supports several functions of the Advancement Office, with the opportunity to assume greater responsibility over time for the right candidate.Enthusiasm about participating in the life of an active and dynamic boarding school, which requires adaptability, collaboration, humor, and a willingness to interact with high school students.
