JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Anthropology in the College of the Liberal Arts is accepting applications for an Administrative Support Coordinator 3 to provide lead administrative oversight for the Department\xe2\x80\x99s academic processes.

This position is responsible for managing the promotion and tenure process, coordination of the faculty recruitment process, coordinating interviews, processing offer letters, facilities coordination, and providing administrative support to the Department Head.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Support Coordinator include but are not limited to:

Coordinate both the promotion and tenure process and the non-tenure-track promotion process for the Department: advise on policy and procedures, ensure promotion packets are accurate and complete, and deadlines are strictly adhered to.

Manage and coordinate the faculty recruitment process: prepare advertisements for faculty positions, support search committee operations, arrange and coordinate logistics for campus visits.

Process faculty appointments; process immigration applications; assist employees, scholars, and/or visitors regarding form requirements and compliance.

Maintain the Department Head\xe2\x80\x99s calendar: coordinate meetings and ensure deadlines are met.

Assist the Department Head with performing confidential and non-routine administrative duties, providing support for correspondence, and developing policies and procedures for the office.

Manage the sabbatical leave process and other departmental faculty affairs issues, serve as the liaison to the Office of Global Programs to coordinate the visiting scholar planning and visa process.

Work closely with the Lead Administrative Support Coordinator and may serve as back-up when needed.

Serve as the facilities coordinator for the department, working extensively with the College facilities coordinator as well as other university offices to oversee building- and space-related projects such as moves, remodeling, and repairs.

Education and Experience:
This position typically requires an Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
