Acute Residential Counselor Adult - Crisis Stabilization:





Maintain a stable environment for adults with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This position works at a hospital diversion program that supports adults having a mental health crisis. This is a unique opportunity to gain a broad level of experience in the fields of substance use and mental health.


Responsibilities:




Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention Help residents strengthen coping and symptom management skills Maintain the overall functioning and cleanliness of the programs Plan and prepare nutritious meals Provide short-term case management and referrals to appropriate levels of care Facilitate groups Administer medication

Requirements:




One year of experience in the field of substance use or a combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired Ability to deal effectively with crisis situations Ability to multi-task and engage with clients Computer literacy Excellent written, listening, and communication skills Valid driver's License, and use of a personal vehicle

Structure:




Full time AFSCME Union (dues will apply) Starting at $22.52/ hour We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
